3. Read the Technology Handbook

The Tech Handbook is your key to mastering Schoology and Adobe Connect. It covers:

• Signing into your course page and your online classroom

• Communicating with teachers

• Submitting assignments

• And much more including video instructions!

💡 Tip: Set aside some time to go through this with your students—it will give you a huge head start and make the first weeks of school go so much more smoothly!

4. Read the 2026-2027 Parent Student Handbook

Unlike other handbooks, this one is practical, not just rules. You’ll learn:

• How to request homework extensions (parents do this)!

• Where to find course assignment sheets (the lifeblood of students knowing what’s due and when)

• Tips for making your school year run smoothly

💡 Tip: Reading this handbook will prepare your family for the first day of school and beyond!

5. Get Connected

• Private Facebook Group: Share wins, ask questions, and connect with other Veritas families.

• Instagram: Follow along for updates.

• Community Connections: Quarterly forms let you opt-in to directories and local groups to meet other families near you.

💡 Tip: Two weeks before school starts, your student will get access to Schoology and be added to age-specific groups under the ‘Groups’ tab. Keep an eye out! The Student Commons Group will also be ready on the first day—perfect for connecting right away.
