Students are responsible for obtaining any notes or assignments and completing any graded material from any classes missed.
    6. Waitlists: VSA utilizes waitlists to gauge demand for additional course sections at specific times. If sufficient interest is demonstrated, new sections will be opened to accommodate waitlisted students. A deposit, equivalent to that required for a secured seat, is necessary to join a waitlist.
    a. Upon a seat becoming available, the student will be automatically enrolled. A confirmation email will be sent to the primary account holder's email address.

Judgment upon any award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered by any state or federal court having jurisdiction in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The arbitrator shall not have the power to award damages in connection with any dispute in excess of the actual compensatory damages and shall not multiply actual damages or award consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages. Each party irrevocably waives any claim thereto.
    9. Neither the Parent nor Veritas shall be entitled to join or consolidate claims in arbitration by or against other consumers or arbitrate any claim as a representative or member of a class or in a private attorney general capacity. The Parent voluntarily and knowingly waives any right they have to a jury trial. These terms provide that all disputes between the Parent and Veritas will be resolved by binding arbitration. The Parent thus gives up any right to go to court to assert or defend his/her rights. The Parent also gives up his/her rights to participate in or bring class actions. Parents’ rights will be determined by a neutral arbitrator(s), not a judge or jury.

a. Unofficial Grade Reports: Available upon request. These reports include the student's name, course, course type (Live or Self-Paced), and both numerical and letter grades. VSA does not issue Official Transcripts for part-time students; homeschooling families often use these reports to create their own official transcripts.
b. Unofficial Progress Reports: Designed for part-time families seeking a formal (but unofficial) report of interim grades for the current semester's incomplete Live-Online classes and all incomplete Self-Paced courses. Courses dropped after Mid-Term exams will appear on a Progress Report for 0.5 credit if requested, but will not be included in an Unofficial Grade Report.

3. DIPLOMA MID-YEAR (SECOND SEMESTER) ENROLLMENT: Full course credit, less the deposit, to their VSA account will be issued to full-time (diploma) students who register for and subsequently withdraw from a full-cost, full-credit, mid-year (second-semester) course within two weeks of enrollment.
4. PART-TIME MID-YEAR (SECOND SEMESTER) ENROLLMENT: No VSA account credit or refund will be issued to part-time students who register for and subsequently withdraw from a half-cost, half-credit, mid-year (second-semester) course.
5. Additional information is available here.

Full Time Diploma Program Refund Policy

1. Full Refund: A 100% credit card refund of the diploma enrollment fee is issued if withdrawal occurs at least 24 hours before the Academic Advisor consultation.
2. Partial Refund: A 50% credit card refund of the enrollment fee is issued if withdrawal occurs within three calendar days following the consultation.

VSA Scholarship Funds

1. Scholarship Application and Award Process:
a. Scholarship applications are available in early March and due in early May.
b. Recipients are notified in mid-to-late June, with scholarship funds applied in July and August.
2. Important Considerations for Scholarship Use:
a. Scholarship funds cannot be used for course deposits, summer courses, self-paced courses, self-paced archive courses, VSA clubs, Diploma fees, or curriculum.
b. Students are not required to be enrolled in a course to apply for a scholarship. However, if awarded, the student must be enrolled in a course and have paid the $95 deposit before the scholarship can be applied to the remaining balance.
c. If a scholarship is applied to a course that has already been paid in full, a refund will be issued.
d. Scholarships are awarded on a per-student, per-course basis. For example, if a family is awarded $100 for two live courses but only registers for one, they will receive a $50 scholarship.
