In Art 1 Grammar, students studied Cubism. For their first assignment in the unit, students were asked to draw a Cubist Still Life and add some collage materials like textured papers. The second assignment was done after looking at the abstraction of Piet Mondrian and the students were to use their Cubist design and draw only with straight lines...no curves. They were only allowed to use black, white, red, yellow, and blue. Simon chose to base his designs on his dad's guitar.
