Possessing both educational and organizational expertise, Susan Gimotty has been an Academic Advisor at VSA for many years, steering numerous families toward the successful completion of their homeschooling endeavors. In 1989, Susan attained her bachelor's degree in education from Oral Roberts University, followed by a master's degree in education administration from Regent University. Following a decade of teaching in private schools, Susan, along with her husband Michael, have embraced homeschooling for the past two decades while raising their four children in Kansas City. The Gimotty family has been engaged with Veritas Scholars Academy (VSA) for thirteen years, fully committed to its ethos. Their four children—Michael '17, Madison '19, Nicholas '21, and Grace '23—have all graduated from VSA. Currently, Michael is midway through dental school, Madison has completed college and is now a grammar school educator, Nicholas plays collegiate golf and is majoring in electrical engineering, while Grace has recently embarked on her college journey. The Gimotty family holds a deep affection for their VSA community, annually attending the EOYG event and participating in two VSA Travel Through Omnibus trips. In addition to her involvement on the Midwest Parent Educators' Board, Susan has authored three educational books and directed a substantial homeschool co-op. With a keen understanding of the challenges inherent in classical Christian education and homeschooling, Susan finds great satisfaction in assisting other homeschooling families in achieving greater success on their educational journey.
