Susan Gimotty
Susan Gimotty has served as an Academic Advisor at Veritas Scholars Academy (VSA) for many years, guiding countless families toward successful homeschooling journeys. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Oral Roberts University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Regent University.
After a decade of teaching in private schools, Susan and her husband, Michael, began homeschooling their four children in Kansas City more than twenty years ago. The Gimotty family has been part of VSA for thirteen years, and all four children—Michael ’17, Madison ’19, Nicholas ’21, and Grace ’23—are alumni. Today, Michael is a dentist and is completing his endodontics residency, Madison teaches grammar school after earning her master’s degree, Nicholas is an aviation electrical engineer at Garmin and former collegiate golfer, and Grace is finishing her finance degree.
Deeply connected to the VSA community, the family regularly attends EOYG events and has joined two VSA Travel Through Omnibus trips. Susan also served on the Midwest Parent Educators’ Board, has written three educational books, and directed a large homeschool co-op.
