Samuel Gist taught Latin, Logic, and Humanities at a local classical Christian school for five years before joining Veritas Scholars Academy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hillsdale College, a Master of Arts in Medieval History from King’s College London, and a Master of Science in Education in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University. In his Veritas classes, Samuel loves sharing the joys of Latin with students from all over the country. His passion for history and Classics lives outside of the classroom as well, where he spends his time writing historical fiction and collecting a very old-fashioned library. Blessed to have grown up under the nurture and admonition of the Lord in a Christian home, he submitted to Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young teen. He is happily settled in Indiana with his wife and daughters.
