Monica Munn

Monica Munn

Monica Munn graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematical Education in 2003. During her senior year of high school, Monica felt called by God to teach math. She is passionate about teaching, supporting student learning, fostering a growth mindset in her students, and ultimately pointing them to our amazing Creator through the beauty, logic, and order of math. She has many years of experience teaching math from 1st grade through Pre-Calculus, both abroad and in the United States, in classical Christian schools and public schools.

Monica and her husband are both from Hope, Indiana, but in 2022, they moved to Greensboro, NC, where Monica teaches dialectic math and supports grammar teachers at a classical Christian university-model school. Monica and her husband, Chris, have been married for over 20 years and have six wonderful children, ranging in age from preschool to high school. She enjoys running and exercising, hosting freezer meal gatherings for friends and teachers, watching her children play sports, and being outdoors with her family.

One summer afternoon before 9th grade, a precious friend shared the gospel with Monica. She accepted Christ into her heart and has been learning what it means to follow the Lord with all her heart, soul, and mind since that day. She is thankful for her friend who so boldly shared the gospel with her and for God who opened her eyes to see the truth. Monica is excited to be teaching at VSA and partnering with parents in the education of their children, pointing them to the good, true, and beautiful order God has created.
