Midge Vad is an elementary educator who has taught many different grade levels in public, private and homeschool settings. She graduated from Missouri State University in 2007 with a BA in Elementary Education, an emphasis in Finance, and a certification in Early Childhood Education. Midge is married to her husband Aron, and together they raise their four children on their farm in southwest Missouri. She has worked in kids’ ministry for twenty years traveling the country doing kids’ camps and crusades along with weekly ministry in her home church, where you will often find her teaching bible stories or memory verses dressed as hilarious characters; but her favorite part of children’s ministry is praying with children as they seek the Lord. At home on the farm, Midge and her family enjoy taking care of their pigs, cows, chickens, dogs and cats, along with working in their garden where they grow all kinds of things. She enjoys spending time with her family hiking, camping, riding bikes, and walking through pastures as the sun sets. A few of her favorite things are lightning bugs dancing across fields, the sounds of crickets and frogs in the evenings, and freshly fallen snow. Midge considers herself a lifelong learner who loves to make learning fun, engaging, and approachable for young people. She is passionate about seeing students learn new things, experience “light bulb” moments, and grow to be the men and women God created them to be.
