Mari Leigh Fanning

Mari Leigh Fanning has been an educator most of her life. Upon graduation from high school, she fulfilled her dream of teaching ballet at a local dance studio. When her first child was two years old, she began to hear the Lord calling her to homeschool, and she has never looked back! Mrs. Fanning has received extensive training in classical education and has over ten years experience teaching memory work, English grammar, IEW, Linguistics, Latin, and ESL both online and in brick-and-mortar schools. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Alabama A&M University in 2005, and her Master of Science in Continuing Education degree from the University of West Alabama in 2023. Mrs. Fanning has thoroughly enjoyed learning alongside her children and pursuing her own education.

In her spare time, Mrs. Fanning enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and playing tennis. She currently serves as the Coordinator of Children and Youth Ministries at her church. She was raised in a Christian home but became intimately aware of Christ’s love for her at the age of 15. Her faith journey since then has been filled with mountains and valleys. Through failures, losses, and struggles, she has learned to place her hope and trust in the Lord alone, and has continued to fall more deeply in love with Jesus as her Savior, Redeemer, Provider, Healer, and Peace-Speaker. She is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Robert, and is the proud mother of four amazing boys: Jeremiah, Jacob, Joseph, and John Robert.
