Cindy Diem has been a teacher in a homeschool cooperative in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area since 2007. She has enjoyed teaching Physics, Pre-calculus, and Calculus to students in her teaching tenure. Prior to her career as a homeschool mom, Cindy worked as a chemical engineer in research, first in Midland, Michigan, and then in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Cindy has a B.A. in Chemistry from Smith College and a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, knitting, walking her dog, and drinking coffee. Cindy became a Christian during high school through the witness of her best friend. She has continued to grow in her faith since then, by God’s grace and the ministry of the Word. Cindy is married to Conrad, a fellow UVA ChemE grad and still practicing chemical engineer. They are members of Living Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Together they have five sons whom they homeschooled. The eldest graduated from high school in 2011, while the youngest is a member of the class of 2023.
