Lockett DeGraaf has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and began educating classically ten years ago. She homeschooled her boys classically for four years, then transitioned the family to private classical education teaching middle and upper level science classes. Mrs. DeGraaf loves running and coaches cross country. Prior to teaching, Mrs. DeGraaf enjoyed working “in the field” in water quality for the states of Florida and Arizona. She is known for her joie de vivre in exploring nature through hiking, kayaking, and running. She delights in these pursuits with her devoted, good-humored husband and their kind, clever teenage boys in Pensacola, Florida. Together the DeGraaf’s marvel at the glory of God on display in creation. “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?” (Psalm 8:3-4).
