Kelda Massey earned her Master’s in Education from Freed-Hardeman University in 2002. Over the past two decades, she has enjoyed teaching various subjects, including math, science, history, and linguistics. She strives to meet her students where they are academically and is passionate about helping reluctant learners grow and build confidence. As a lifelong learner, Kelda believes that good teachers should also be good students who challenge themselves to grow and develop professionally. She enjoys taking classes each summer on topics that pique her interest, with favorites including Songwriting, Bringing Joy to the Classroom, and The Life and Writings of C.S. Lewis. Kelda delights in teaching at VSA and, in her free time, enjoys planning travel adventures with her husband and two sons. She is thankful for her life in Tennessee, which includes three rescue animals (two cats and a dog) who hit the jackpot when they arrived on her doorstep. Her mornings usually begin with a nice cup of coffee and time in God’s Word.
