Dr. Kari Ceaicovschi
Dr. Kari Ceaicovschi has been teaching as a Latin teacher in secondary education since 2008, beginning with a Classical Christian school in Washington State. She first began studying Latin at the University of Montana in 1993 where she earned a BA degree in the Classics. This was only the beginning of a long journey of learning about the ancient world and civilization. From the snowy Missoula Valley, Kari moved to Palo Alto with her husband, Alex, and completed a Master’s degree at Stanford University, again in the Classics. Soon, she enrolled in a Ph.D. program with the University of Washington and began studying the ancient world in earnest. In 2008, Kari completed the requirements for a Ph.D. in the field of Classics with a special emphasis on Latin, Republican History, and Roman Religion. There were many ups and downs along the way, including two boys. More recently, Kari returned to Montana and her roots where she began a small business raising sheep. So, in addition to her teaching responsibilities, Kari spends time daily outside caring for sheep and thinking about sheep genetics and nutrition. As a Christian, Kari seeks to do the works that the Lord has given her to do in this life and takes great joy in the opportunities given to work in the local community especially with the homeless families. Her favorite passage of scripture is Numbers 6:24-26 and prays that we all as Christians receive this blessing.
