Jodie Kirk grew up in beautiful Hawaii. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hawaii Pacific University and a Master of Science in Secondary Science Education from Lehman College, a senior college of The City University of New York. Her teaching experience is diverse and rigorous--she taught elementary science at a private school in Hawaii, middle school science at a public school in NYC, biology and physical science at a Classical Christian hybrid school in Colorado, physical science at a traditional Classical Christian school in Florida, and most recently several science classes at a Classical Christian co-op school in Florida. Jodie is very passionate about teaching, learning, and applying science in a way that glorifies our Creator! Jodie is thankful to have grown up knowing Jesus as her Savior as long as she can remember. She has lived in many places and is thrilled to be settled in Alexandria, VA with her husband, three children, dachshund, and lovebird. When she is not teaching her own children or her science students, Jodie loves being outside in God’s creation—hiking, swimming, or simply walking around the neighborhood. Her other interests include: teaching group fitness classes, making jewelry, and cooking!
