Janet Beavin has taught writing classes at VSA since 2008, with previous experience in public and private schools. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Florida State University, but her real education began with having a family. She homeschooled her five children (now grown) from K-12th grade and was active in a local homeschool co-op for many years. An avid reader, she has shared the joy of books through a radio book review program and currently leads a local book club. Janet and her husband Bob are active in church ministries for education, missions and youth work, and they continue to enjoy training the next generation. When she’s not grading papers or reading, Janet enjoys tackling overly ambitious home and garden projects and spending time with her grandchildren.
