Jamie Weary received her B.S. in Math Education from Geneva College in 2008. Upon receiving her teaching certification, she pursued a classroom position at Donegal High School in Mount Joy, PA where she taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Integrated Math. A family move then took her back to the Pittsburgh region where she began teaching virtually, affording her the opportunity to teach all levels of math from Math 6 through AP Calculus. She has gained extensive experience supporting virtual learners at a variety of proficiency levels.
Outside of teaching Math, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband Christopher and their three children. She enjoys educating her own children at home, attending her children’s Taekwondo tournaments and cheerleading competitions, as well as volunteering at her church where she leads the elementary program on Sunday mornings. When there is a break in her schedule Jamie enjoys camping, biking the rails to trails system, hiking, and geocaching. She is excited to begin her second year with VSA!
