By God’s grace, Miranda Webster loved going to church weekly and was very involved in her local youth group. The Lord drew her to Himself, and she placed her trust in Him for her salvation. After high school graduation, Miranda attended Dallas Baptist University, where she received a Bachelor’s of Art in Christian Studies and Biblical Studies. It was while she was serving in China, teaching Chinese English teachers, that she felt a call to education, which led her to pursue a Master’s degree.
While working on her Master’s in Christian Education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Miranda taught third grade at Covenant Classical School in Fort Worth, TX, for seven years. She met her husband, Evan, while at seminary, and the Lord provided the opportunity for them to serve in Orillia, Ontario, Canada, for five years after he graduated. He was on staff as the Pastor of Integration and Missions.
During this time, Miranda taught at Veritas Scholars Academy for six years. As she was teaching, she was given the incredible opportunity to further her education again. Miranda received her Doctor of Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2019.
Around this time, Evan and Miranda felt the Lord drawing them back to the States, and providentially, they landed in Tyler, TX. In 2020-2021, Miranda taught eighth grade Reading and Language Arts at Three Lakes Middle School. Her heart longed to be back in a Christian environment, so locally, she taught fifth grade Bible, Grammar and Writing, and Latin at Grace Community School. For the last two years, she has been a principal of Grace University.
Miranda's husband, Evan, is on staff at Southern Oaks Baptist Church as the Pastor of Administration and Discipleship. They have one daughter, Lottie, who is a delight to them. Their mini-Australian shepherd, Sammy, entertains them daily. Evan and Miranda love to travel, do home projects, and laugh together.
