Angie Henriksen graduated from Wheaton College with a B.A. in Elementary Education and from the University of Illinois with an M.Ed. in Special Education. She met her husband, Nathan, at Wheaton, and together they raise and homeschool their five children in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Angie has been teaching for over 25 years in public school, private school, and homeschool co-op settings. She has extensive training and experience teaching students with disabilities and special learning needs, and she enjoys helping families find strategies to help children excel in their academics. Angie enjoys teaching grammar, writing, and linguistics because they help students understand and effectively communicate God’s truths, as well as math, which reflects God’s consistency, orderliness, logic, and creativity. Her classes are highly interactive, allowing students to learn by playing games, working on the “board”, and problem-solving together. In her free time, Angie enjoys cooking, reading the classics, and spending time with her family and maltipoo puppy, Mr. Darcy.
