Clubs & Student Leadership

The next thing I want to talk about is clubs. We have a lot of fun clubs. I already mentioned leadership opportunities. We have student government. I've student mentors, moderators, teacher appreciation, and the yearbook staff.

Between my four kids. We have done all of this. I've had several class presidents, vice presidents, a couple of student mentors, and a moderator. My daughter, my youngest daughter is now the chair of the Teacher Appreciation Committee, and she's also been on the yearbook staff, all fun, engaging activities that we can offer you, even though we are a virtual school.

Community

Another thing is our student community. I mentioned to you already the Student Commons– Student Connections, rather. Student Commons is kind of just embedded in our Schoology software where kids get to chat with each other, End of the Year Gathering, I mentioned. Local VSA groups. I know our fabulous Mrs. Hatford. She was in D.C. and just reached out to anybody who's a diploma student and asked if they wanted to go on a field trip to one of the art museums.

They're super fun. In the summer, Omnibus trips. That photo I already showed you and then the missions trips that we have done, we've done to Ecuador and to some other places.
