Le Petit Prince Oral Presentation by Grace C.

French IV students read the novel Le Petit Prince in Quarter 2. In the story, the little prince visits seven planets in search of a friend. Each planet is inhabited by an individual who has a unique problem. For their oral midterm, students created an eighth planet, a person who lived there, and that individual’s issue. Each student then gave a presentation in French of his planet and the lesson learned from the inhabitant, illustrated with slides or objects they designed. I am privileged to teach such an imaginative, creative, articulate group of students! Below are three of their planets and above is an example of one of the oral presentations.

I was absolutely blown away by the oral midterm presentations of my French IV students. Their well-developed content and verbal use of the language were excellent, but the individuality and the creativity of their illustrations were beyond my expectations -- this is not an art class!
