Official Rules

To qualify for the Grand Prize drawing, submissions must meet the minimum criteria to be considered a featured Veritas story, outlined in the Judging Criteria below. Eligible submissions will be entered into a random drawing, and one (1) winner will be selected.

  • Limit one (1) entry per customer or household.

  • Written, photo, and video submissions are accepted.

  • Entries must be received during the promotional period.

  • Eligible submissions are entered into the Grand Prize drawing. The Grand Prize winner is selected by random drawing from all eligible entries.

  • All valid submissions, regardless of Grand Prize eligibility, will automatically receive one (1) entry into the separate $300 Veritas Press Store Credit drawing.

  • By submitting content, participants grant Veritas Press a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, and share submitted content, in whole or in part, for marketing and promotional purposes.

  • Employees of Veritas Press and their immediate household members are not eligible.

  • Prize is non-transferable, may not be exchanged for cash, and may not be substituted except at the sole discretion of Veritas Press.

  • Veritas Press reserves the right to determine eligibility, interpret these rules, and make final decisions regarding submissions and prize administration.

  • Submissions may be edited for length, grammar, clarity, or formatting while preserving the original meaning and intent of the story.

Judging Criteria

Every submission is reviewed by the Veritas Press marketing team.

To qualify for the End of Year Gathering Grand Prize drawing, a submission must receive a minimum composite score of 24 out of 30 using the following six criteria:

  • Specificity

  • Emotional Resonance

  • Usability / Quotability

  • Alignment with the “Preparing Students for Life” theme

  • Authenticity

  • Completeness

Each category receives a score of 1–5, for a maximum possible score of 30 points.

Exceeding the minimum qualifying score does not increase the odds of winning. Once a submission qualifies, every eligible entry has an equal chance of being selected in the random drawing.

What We’re Looking For

  • Specificity: A real moment, memory, or turning point rather than general praise.

  • Emotional Resonance: A story that creates a genuine emotional connection.

  • Usability: A quote or story that can be meaningfully shared with others.

  • Preparing Students for Life: Demonstrates growth, character, wisdom, or lasting impact.

  • Authenticity: A genuine story told in the family’s own voice.

  • Completeness: Enough context for the story to stand on its own.

Prize Details

Grand Prize Includes:

  • One (1) king room and one (1) double queen room at the Eden Resort, Wednesday through Sunday during the 2027 End of Year Gathering.

  • End of Year Gathering base registration for up to five (5) attendees.

  • Registration for all EOYG events except the Wednesday field trip and Sight & Sound Theatre.

  • Food and beverages outside of registered EOYG events are the responsibility of the winner.

  • Transportation and all travel expenses to and from the End of Year Gathering are not included.

  • Transportation and all travel expenses to and from events during the End of Year Gathering are not included.

  • Additional incidental hotel charges are the responsibility of the winner.

  • Winner to be announced on or before October 2nd, 2026

Story Submission Drawing

Each qualifying story submitted during the promotional period will receive one (1) entry into the $300 Veritas Press gift card drawing.

  • Limit one (1) entry per customer.

  • Multiple submissions do not increase the chances of winning.

  • One (1) winner will be selected by random drawing following the close of the promotional period.

  • Gift card is redeemable only at Veritas Press and has no cash value.

  • Winner will be notified using the contact information provided at the time of entry.

  • Winner to be announced on or before October 2nd, 2026

30th Anniversary Gift

Receive one (1) limited-edition 30th Anniversary Griff package and one (1) $30 gift certificate with a qualifying purchase of $300 or more (before taxes and shipping) made through the Veritas Press online store during the promotional period.

  • Limit one (1) Griff package per customer.

  • Limit one (1) $30 gift certificate per customer

  • Qualifying purchases must be placed during the promotional period.

  • School Sales orders, wholesale purchases, and other non-retail orders are not eligible.

  • The Griff package will ship separately from your qualifying order at no additional shipping cost. Estimated delivery: Fall 2026.

  • The $30 gift certificate will be delivered digitally via email within 48 hours of the qualifying purchase to the email on file for the order

  • The Griff package is not transferable, has no cash value, and may not be substituted.

  • If an order is canceled or returned such that the qualifying purchase threshold is no longer met, eligibility for the Griff package may be revoked.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring their shipping address is current before Griff fulfillment begins.
