Dr. Lisa Deprey

Dr. Lisa Deprey has been an educator since 2011. Her first two years teaching were at a small classical Christian school in Maryland while getting her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. It was there that she developed a passion for teaching from a biblical worldview. She later moved to her hometown of Milwaukee to teach at a new inner-city Christian school, helping develop the math and English curriculums. Then, God moved her overseas to Thailand, where she taught middle school math for four years. During that time, she received a Doctorate of Education, publishing her dissertation on the effectiveness of biblical worldview education. For the past four years, Lisa has been serving as a full-time missionary with Lifesong for Orphans in Southeast Asia. During her time in Thailand, in addition to teaching and studying, she was a youth pastor, helped orphans and vulnerable children receive an education, and became passionate about advocating for children in need. Dr. Lisa now lives in Wisconsin to be closer to her family. In her free time, Lisa likes to go rock climbing, spend time in nature, read, play board games, and craft.
