January 28, 2014 – Kansas City The game night event was held In another really cool venue, the Thompson Barn, fka the Lenaxa Conference Center was is a barn built around 1870 and has been preserved by the town of Lenexa (suburban Kansas City,Mo) and available for group use. We were invited to dinner before hand for “the best barbeque on Kansas City” with the Gimotty family. We were not disappointed! Even more enjoyable was to hear the stories of their experiences with VPSA. Their four children are all involved in online classes, making great friends for life and, most importantly, getting an education that will prepare them for everything. What a blessing. One of the highlights of this game night was the incredible dessert (pictured) prepared by the oldest daughter of the family (pictured) that also won the puzzle contest. It was incredibly decorated with Bede the ball of yarn, Percival the young knight from the VP Phonics Museum and many other symbols out of our curriculum. It was also delicious.
