Notes from the Road - Fort Lauderdale
January 23, 2014 – Ft. Lauderdale We hosted our game night at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, the Presbyterian church made known by D. James Kennedy who died in 2007. The expanse of the church and it’s far-reaching ministries are a testimony to his faithfulness. I hope that our educational efforts will contribute to the forming of a passion in many young people that will result in such effectiveness and reaching the lost and disciplining the believer through the calling of the pastorate. The game night evening was highlighted by James Turner, a graduate of Veritas Press Scholars Academy who, when asked, easily and spontaneously talked about how his current college experience and plans for life have been greatly affected by his classical Christian education. Thanks, James. This is our last game night for a couple days. It is a thrilling to meet so many like-minded families—all seeking to raise godly children through a rigorous education with us—but we are looking forward to a couple days’ break before heading to Kansas City and Texas next week. - Marlin (Veritas Press Founder, Marlin Detweiler) _________________________ In order to get the word out about our new VPSA Local Communities, Founders, Marlin and Laurie Detweiler - along with their son Brandon - hosted Family Game Night events in 13 cities nationwide over 16 days. We're posting  Marlin's "Notes from the Road" to let everyone in on what happened and to enjoy some of the photos and videos.
