Lisa Hellier began her teaching career in a women’s ministry as a Bible teacher over twenty years ago. Homeschooling her three sons for eleven years further solidified her passion for seeing minds and hearts take hold of wisdom, joy, and excellence through the classical tools of education and a firm foundation in God’s Word. Lisa’s goal of lifelong learning has endued a perspective on life allowing her to experience various opportunities including working as a Christian radio station disc jockey, a public speaker, a leadership coach, an Executive Director for Chick-fil-A, and in development fundraising. Lisa holds a B.A. in English and Political Science from Furman University and will finish her M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies in May 2022 from Belhaven University. Lisa enjoys traveling with her husband, reading great literature, browsing antique stores, mentoring women in God’s Word, studying theology, and improving the quality of life for her two beloved rescue dogs, Baloo and Belle. Raised in a Christian home, seeds of belief were planted in her life while a young child and in college she fully committed her life to Christ in genuine faith. She and her husband have been members of a PCA church for two decades serving as Bible teachers and mentors. Lisa has been married to Jim over thirty years and they have three grown sons: Nate, Matthew, and Samuel.
