The twelfth day of Christmas . . .
January 5th is the last day of the Christmas season. That doesn’t mean that all Christmas-related festivities end, though! In many traditions, tomorrow is a day of joy and gladness, too. January 6th is the church holiday of Epiphany, sometimes called Three Kings’ Day. Epiphany celebrates a truth that most of us forever thank God for—that Christ came to save both Jew and Gentile. For those wishing to mark tomorrow with a special devotion, here’s a suggestion. Read and discuss Isa. 60:1–9, Eph. 3:1–13, and Matt. 2:1–12. Then (and even though we don’t know how many magi went to worship Jesus), be sure to sing “We Three Kings.”
