Winona Allaire

Winona Allaire

Mrs. Winona Allaire has been teaching students of all ages for more than twenty years in public, private, and online education. She has taught every grade from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, with experience spanning elementary, middle, and upper school classrooms. After transitioning to Christian education, she especially enjoyed teaching science through the lens of Biblical truth. Winona is grateful to now teach at Veritas Scholars Academy, where online education allows her to continue serving students while balancing her responsibilities as a wife, mother, and caregiver.

Winona earned an Associate of Arts degree from Treasure Valley Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Multiple Disciplinary Studies from Eastern Oregon University, and a Master of Education from the University of Phoenix.

Outside the classroom, Winona enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on her children's many activities, reading, crocheting, drawing, and participating in her local church and veterans' community events. In this season of life, she also considers it a privilege to care for her widowed mother.

Raised in a small community church in rural Oregon, Winona came to know Christ as a child. After drifting from her faith during her college years, she rededicated her life to the Lord in her mid-twenties. She is thankful for God's faithfulness through every season of life and is passionate about serving in youth ministry, encouraging others in their walk with Christ, and pointing students to His truth.

Winona and her husband, Gifford, have been married for more than twenty-three years and have three children. Their family enjoys serving together, supporting one another's many interests, and embracing the opportunities God provides to minister to others.
