Prior to transitioning to primary school teaching, Stacia Szumskyj worked in both Higher Education and Early Childhood Education. She earned her Master’s Degree in Leadership in Higher Education from John Brown University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, with a minor in Business Marketing, from the University of Arkansas.
Stacia was raised in a Christian home and understood from an early age her need for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She attended church every Sunday and learned not only of God’s love and mercy but also of His justice and righteousness. When Stacia was about seven years old, she recognized her personal need for Christ to save her from the sin nature with which she had been born. Throughout her life, she has been continually reminded of her dependence on her Savior. Even during times when she strayed from the path, God, in His loving-kindness, forgave her.
Born in Arkansas, Stacia now lives in Western Australia with her wonderful husband and two amazing sons, whom she homeschools. Her hobbies include baking, crafting, sewing, and thrift shopping with her family. She recently started her own home-based cookie business and enjoys challenging her cookie-decorating skills with new designs.
