Rachel Moeller grew up on the beautiful plains of Nebraska before moving to Michigan, where she pursued her B.A. in both Art and Classics. Throughout college, she studied Latin, Attic Greek, and Hebrew. Her primary artistic medium is oil painting, though she is also proficient in watercolor, graphite, charcoal, graphic design, and sculpture. While at Hillsdale, Rachel received several prestigious awards, including the Lisa Montross Scholarship through the NLE, the Hozain Art Excellence Award, and the Schultz Latin Prize. A voracious learner, she plans to pursue her Master’s in Classical Education in the coming years. Even before college, Rachel had a heart for education and the development of children. She has worked with a variety of students, including those from low-income backgrounds and those with learning disabilities or special needs.
In her spare time, Rachel loves to cook, inspired by her late grandmother, Carrole Moeller. Spending time in the kitchen inventing new recipes and perfecting old ones is one of her favorite creative outlets and reminds her of time spent with loved ones. Rachel lives on her beautiful Midwestern acreage with her family of six, their Collie, Lucy, and their many outdoor cats.
