Keith Saare

Keith Saare is Vicar of the historic St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Tombstone, Arizona, the oldest Protestant church in the state with community ties to the famous gunslinger Wyatt Earp. A graduate of Master’s Seminary, Howard Payne University, and Armed Forces School of Music, he is a retired active-duty Army chaplain and prior trumpet player for the 62nd Army Band. He came to faith in Christ Jesus in 1995 and has had a life-long quest ever since to submit humbly to the truths of Scripture to know God as He is revealed. He has been married 26 years and has four children who all love Jesus. Prior to joining the faculty of VSA, he taught New Testament Greek at two different Christian universities. The highlights of Mr. Saare’s military career include a war deployment to Afghanistan and being assigned four years in Europe during which period he traveled the continent and Mediterranean extensively for ministry and NATO missions. His intellectual interests include Germanic Alpine cultures & language, conversational Latin, classical literature, presuppositional apologetics, and Anglicanism. Situated in the Sonoran Desert, he naturally loves the local cowboy culture and exploring remnants of the Old Wild West.
