Katie John
Katie John began her career as a teacher in the public school setting as a third grade teacher, then moved to reading and math intervention across elementary grades. She graduated from the University of Akron in 2021 as an honors scholar with a degree in education and a minor in history. She is thrilled to join Veritas Press and teach through a biblical lens and make a positive impact on students’ lives through classical education.
Katie believes that it is a high and holy calling to instruct children in the way of the Lord, and enjoys fostering a love of reading, writing, conversing, and critical thinking in students. She came to Christ at a young age while being raised in a Christian home, and continues to grow in the Lord through Bible reading, prayer, church, and Bible study attendance.
Katie is interested in reading classic literature and historical fiction, experimenting with food from around the world in the kitchen, exploring local and abroad art and history museums, listening to history podcasts, and spending time outside in nature. She resides in Ohio with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
