Karen Barbrow

Karen Barbrow has been teaching for more than 15 years in a variety of settings including homeschooling, co-ops, traditional and classical Christian schools, church ministries, and private music studios. God used Karen and her passion for classical Christian education to start a homeschool co-op and later to found a classical Christian school in Delaware where she served as Head of School.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Bob Jones University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching in Classical Education at Templeton Honors College at Eastern University.

Karen is originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania, but currently lives near the Delaware beaches. She enjoys chocolate (Hershey’s), coffee, reading, thrifting, and playing piano.

Karen was saved at a young age and has sought to serve the Lord faithfully ever since. She has traveled to South and Central America and across the country on mission trips. She is active in the music, children’s, and women’s ministries at her home church where her husband serves as the lead pastor.

Karen and her husband, Jeremy, have been married for 21 years and have three children – Noah, Paige and Lane. They lived and served in Pennsylvania and Michigan before settling in Delaware. Her family enjoys cheering on one another’s athletic activities and taking long walks together on the beach.
