Honesty Martin has a passion for math, dance, teaching, and singing. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics and a Dance Minor from Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina, she taught high school mathematics for 9 years. She has completed numerous hours of graduate-level coursework in the combined areas of mathematics, technology integration, student behavior/psychology, and ESOL. She has over 18 years’ experience teaching math, but considers herself a life-long learner. Honesty became a Christian during a VBS event as a young girl and later rededicated her life to Christ as an adult. She is married to Skip, and they have two boys, Cody and Taylor. They reside in Woodruff, South Carolina. Honesty is an active member of her church, Duncan First Baptist, where she is a member of the choir and on the choir’s praise team. She is also on an award-winning adult women’s dance competition team. Honesty is thrilled to be teaching at VSA and her biggest desire is that God would use her gifts and talents in a way that is glorifying to Him.
