Holly Kellam
Holly Kellam considers it a blessing and a privilege to come alongside fellow homeschooling families, providing counsel and encouragement as they seek to follow the Lord’s plan for their homeschool. Living in the beautiful Roanoke Valley of Southwest Virginia with her husband Steve, their four children, one unfriendly cat, and a lovable but needy golden retriever brings her great joy. Retriever puppies also rotate in and out of their home as Holly volunteers as a puppy raiser for a local service dog organization. She earned her B.A. in English from Geneva College and her M. Ed. from Saint Francis University. Prior to starting her family, she gained eight years’ experience teaching high school English in both public and private schools. The Kellam family began their homeschooling journey in 2006, trying a variety of curriculums until they were introduced to the benefits of classical education. Upon discovery of the catalog, they began using Veritas materials in their homeschool, eventually adding self-paced and live classes. All four children are VSA students with the oldest graduating from the diploma program in 2020. Each VSA experience they have enjoyed, from EOYG to the British Isles trip, has reinforced the blessings of Veritas. Witnessing these benefits firsthand, Holly desires to help other families best utilize the classical education Veritas has to offer.
