Floyd Foster

Floyd Foster began his career in Christian education and ministry nearly three decades ago, teaching students in church, school, and homeschool settings. He currently serves as a Bible teacher, where he teaches middle and high school students with an emphasis on biblical literacy, theological understanding, and discussion-based learning. In addition, he serves in pastoral ministry, teaching weekly Bible studies, developing curriculum for families and students, and training leaders within the church. He is also the author of several books, including a Bible commentary series and other works focused on health and wellness. His teaching focuses on helping students understand Scripture clearly and apply it thoughtfully to their lives.

He studied at Virginia Beach Theological Seminary, where he earned a Master of Theology with concentrations in biblical interpretation, pastoral counseling, and applied theology. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from The Master’s University.

In his free time, he enjoys studying Scripture, developing teaching materials, reading theology and history, and spending time with his family. He also enjoys basketball and has coached for several years, using the opportunity to disciple players and point them to Christ. He is a preventative health advocate with strong beliefs in clean eating and correcting nutritional deficiencies, and he enjoys helping others grow in both spiritual and physical stewardship. He also enjoys engaging in thoughtful discussions that help others grow in understanding and discernment.

Floyd trusted in Christ when the Lord opened his eyes to his condition of total depravity, helping him understand that he was dead in sin and in need of being made alive in Christ (Ephesians 2:1–5). The Lord used His Word to transform his thinking and give him a desire to understand and live out the truth of Scripture. He believes this transformation is the result of the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit. This continues to shape both his life and his teaching, as he seeks to help students see truth clearly and grow in their understanding of God’s Word.

He and his wife have been married and are blessed with children, whom they have homeschooled and discipled. Together, they are committed to family-centered Christian education and raising their children in the instruction and truth of the Lord.
