Elizabeth Hobson

Beth Hobson is thrilled to be teaching mathematics at Veritas Scholars Academy! Beth attended Texas A&M University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Mathematics with minors in Psychology and Education. She entered the math classroom in Dallas, TX after graduation in 2013, where she had the opportunity to teach and coach volleyball and track. Early in her teaching career Beth wanted to do all she could to be the best teacher to her students, and went on to earn her
M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University again. For nine years Beth taught algebra and geometry at all levels around Dallas, where she also met and married her husband Jeff. Together they put down roots on Lewisville Lake and got involved in their local church and found an amazing community around them. Beth left the public school classroom to raise their first child, Oliver, at home. Beth is excited to get back in the classroom and teach students about the Creator through mathematics. In her spare time, Beth enjoys reading with her Book Club, becoming a movie buff, hanging with family and friends on the lake, and watching her son grow.
Beth’s parents helped plant a church in her hometown of Pflugerville when she was three, and that’s where she came to know and love the Lord. It was there that she found a passion for sharing God’s great story and sought out every opportunity to do so through Sunday School teaching, VBS, and mission trips. It was this loving home in the church that propelled Beth to desire the same for her family. The Hobsons are members of The Village Church and found an amazing, faithful community in which to raise up their family.
