Dr. Bob Cannon
HeadmasterDr. Robert J. Cannon ("Dr. Bob") is Vice President of Educational Services at Veritas Press and Headmaster of Veritas Scholars Academy. He has served in K-12 and collegiate environments for most of his career as both a senior administrator and a member of collegiate faculties. He led partnerships and learning experiences with Fortune 500 companies through the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, was a vice president at Ridgewater College and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, academic dean at a liberal arts college, and an adjunct faculty member in leadership studies with several Christian colleges and universities.
Dr. Cannon transitioned into the K-12 arena following a brief time of service as an interim pastor with a fellowship just outside the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia). He served as principal of a charter school in the birthplace of the charter movement (Minnesota), and now delights in the kingdom work of Veritas.
Dr. Cannon received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from St. Joseph’s University, and later pursued his graduate studies (M.S.Ed. and Ed.D.) at the University of Pennsylvania in multidisciplinary programs under faculty from the Graduate School of Education, the Wharton School, the School of Social Policy and Practice, and Penn Law.
Dr. Bob relishes time with his wife Carrie Ann and their seven children and enjoys competitive Brazilian jiu-jitsu, biking (mountain or road), and anyplace he can find a lake or an ocean.
