Dr. Binnie King
Dr. Binnie King is an enthusiastic classical Christian educator whom God has prepared for such a time as this. She taught Honors and Pre-AP English classes for over 10 years in the public-school system before staying home to raise and educate her daughter. It was through her desire to put Jesus at the center of her daughter’s education that led her to discover classical Christian education. Since then, Mrs. King has taught at Cornerstone Classical Christian Academy in Gainesville, FL and at several classical Christian homeschooling groups and co-ops along the way. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Secondary Education and a Master of Education degree from The University of Florida. She is an avid college football fan always cheering on the Florida Gators. Living in Florida, Mrs. King loves outdoor activities like fishing, scalloping, swimming, playing badminton, riding bikes, and reading a classic while sitting riverside in a rocking chair. She delights in observing God in His beautiful creation while praising Him for her redemption. Mrs. King seeks to honor God and magnify Christ in her daily life. She welcomes the opportunity to use her spiritual gift of teaching to help illuminate God’s truth in all subjects, especially literature and composition. She and her husband Richard have been married for more than 20 years, and they have enjoyed building three homes together. Her daughter Emmy has been a student at Veritas Scholars Academy for the past five years, and all of the Kings feel a part of their Veritas family. Mrs. King is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in classical curriculum from Liberty University Online.
