Alyssa Reaves has had the heart of an educator from an early age when she would play school with her sisters. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Arizona Christian University and a M.Ed. as a Reading Specialist from Liberty University. The Lord opened doors of opportunity for her to teach in a variety of grades in her home state of
Arizona before calling her to take her passion for teaching overseas. She spent two years teaching at a Christian international school in Japan before meeting her Marine Corps husband and moving back to the States. Since then, she has lived in six different locations as a Marine spouse and has used her educational background in a variety of ways, including mentoring other teachers and homeschool moms, tutoring in reading and writing, leading Bible Studies for women, offering private piano lessons in her home, and beginning her own homeschool journey with her three small children. Currently, Alyssa resides with her family in Northern Virginia. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys park dates with her kids, early morning workouts with her husband, traveling, drinking good coffee, and building relationships with other women. The opportunity to collaborate with parents and provide her students with a quality education from a biblical worldview is an honor.
