Notes from the Road - Atlanta (Cumming, GA)
January 20, 2014 – Atlanta (Cumming, Ga) A nice crowd joined us north of Atlanta. Again we were blessed with a church setting. The Vine Community Church (PCA) welcomed us. They put us in the sanctuary which was not ideal but easily adapted. [caption id="attachment_951" align="alignleft" width="700"] Hezekiah - 2nd from left - made the blueberry pie[/caption] One family drove 300 miles to attend. Several came from more than an hour away. People are very interested in seeing ways to connect and build communities. Meeting students and parents still remains a tremendous blessing from the trip. The reception to the idea of communities continues to build, too. The winner of the best dessert went to a teenage male student who made a spectacular blueberry pie. A chocolate cheese Bundt cake ran a close second. It’s been great fun to see the creation of these sweets from around the country. Tomorrow we’re off to Jacksonville. - Marlin (Veritas Press Founder, Marlin Detweiler) ______________________ In order to get the word out about our new VPSA Local Communities, Founders, Marlin and Laurie Detweiler - along with their son Brandon - are hosting Family Game Night events in 13 cities nationwide over 16 days.
