Classical education is built on the time-tested conviction that students learn differently at different ages. At VSA, instruction is carefully ordered to a child’s stage of development, so students master foundational skills early, learn to reason well as they mature, and graduate prepared to think and communicate with clarity and confidence.
Grades K–6
Grammar Stage
Students develop core knowledge and academic habits through structured learning in reading, writing, math, history, and science.
Instruction emphasizes mastery of fundamentals, memory, and language skills, giving students the confidence and competence they need for future learning.
Grades 7–9
Logic Stage
As students mature, instruction emphasizes critical thinking, analysis, and clear reasoning across subjects.
