Dr. Reed DePace was raised in the mid-Atlantic. Since 2008, he and his family have resided in Montgomery, Alabama. Pastoring a local church, Reed has been involved in classical schooling in some manner since the early 1990s. Reed received his BAAS degree from the University of Delaware in History and Political Science, a Master’s degree from Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, and a Doctor of Ministry from Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies, Sanford, FL. Reed enjoys home remodeling, woodworking, and a wide variety of arts and crafts. He’s been known to occasionally paint a “happy tree” or two. Reed was raised in a nominal Christian family. During his college years God used the ministry of a Christian campus group to bring the call of the gospel to bear in his life. Convicted of his sin, and convinced his only hope was in Jesus Christ alone, he made a profession of faith in the early 1980s. His first church membership was in a local evangelical church, where the pastor discipled him in the beliefs and practices of the Christian life, including weekly worship, discipleship, and witness. In 2001 he was ordained to the pastorate in the Presbyterian Church in America. Reed somehow persuaded the delightful Adelene (Addie) to marry him. Together they have enjoyed the Lord’s blessing in five children, all classically educated.
