Nichele Harp

Nichele Harp

Nichele Harp taught 8th grade science for two years at a public school before transitioning to an online charter school for ten years where she taught middle school science as well as English, Social Studies, and math. Educated at home and in private schools growing up, she earned a minor in Early Childhood Education from Corban University, a BA in English Writing, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Southern Oregon University. She is endorsed in middle school science, math, English, and Social Studies.

Nichele loves the opportunities afforded by online education and the time-tested ways that Christian classical education engages children’s hearts and minds in developmentally-appropriate ways. Treasuring biblical wisdom as the foundation for scientific inquiry and reasoning, she employs questioning, exploration, and discovery in the classroom in order to stimulate students’ sense of wonder.

Filled with an insatiable desire to learn, Nichele reads as voraciously as her schedule allows. The more she learns, the more she discovers how little she knows, and she dreams of what it will be like to learn forever with Jesus in Heaven. You can find Nichele sewing, reading “soul food” books to her children, inflicting new recipes on her family, and gardening with her hubby. Since being saved at a young age, she has grown in her love for Jesus, His Word, and His people, and she wants to spread the Good News as much as she can before her time is up!

In 2007, Nichele married her best friend Nate, a man of incredible wit, silliness, and musical talent. Together they live in Southern Oregon with their five children - two of whom God gave them through the grand adventure of adoption. Nichele enjoys supporting her husband as he leads worship at church and hosting Bible studies.
