Kristen Nixon
Mrs. Kristen Nixon has taught high school science classes at Los Angeles Baptist High School and several homeschool cooperatives, both in-person and online. She has also taught at the grammar school level in a classical Christian academy.
She’s been a field biologist for the Colorado State Department of Wildlife, a laboratory technician for a failure analysis lab, and has done chemical regulatory work for an environmental analytical testing laboratory.
She graduated from The Master’s College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minors in Bible and chemistry. She was a pre-med student until she got a better offer from Joost Nixon to become his wife. In her free time, she enjoys cooking meals that bring people together, sewing, and reading out loud to those willing to listen. Above all, Kristen loves and serves the Lord Jesus Christ in the strength and joy He provides.
She is married to Dr. Joost Nixon (you may recognize his name from our Self-Paced Omnibus)and has eight children. Her husband currently serves as an educator himself, training pastors in various locations around the globe. The Nixons currently live in Athens, Greece – close to the Acropolis and the Aegean Sea – with their two rescue cats.
