Joshua Marx

Joshua Marx has taught ancient languages and history in a classical Christian setting at Covenant Preparatory School in Southern Pines, North Carolina. He received his B.A. in Classics with an emphasis in ancient literature and languages from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He pursued his Masters in Classics at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Throughout this education, he has gained extensive experience in both Greek and Latin. Before attending university, Joshua was educated in multiple classical Christian schools from a young age and attended Veritas Scholars Academy throughout high school. He grew up in a Christian household and does not know a day when he wasn’t the Lord’s. Joshua attended Sandhills Presbyterian Church where he was able to grow in his knowledge of God’s Word under faithful teaching. In 2020, Joshua married his beautiful wife Erin shortly before moving from North Carolina to Scotland. In his free time, he loves to spend as much time as he can with his bride traveling the world, working out at the gym, and playing board games whenever he might convince his wife to join in. He particularly likes any board game similar to Axis and Allies! Joshua seeks to bring his love for God’s Word, ancient languages, and history into the classroom to share with his students.
