Heather Magnuson is passionate about teaching Spanish and is a fervent proponent of language learning. She has taught dual-immersion Spanish-English 1st grade and 8th thru Freshman Spanish in public school. Heather currently homeschools her 2 children and teaches at a local homeschool coop. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a master’s degree in Bilingual Education after earning a BS in Plant Science from the University of Missouri. In addition to formal classroom training in the Spanish language, Heather has lived in Costa Rica as a student at EARTH University and in Honduras as a missionary at the Finca del Niño orphanage. Heather loves to travel, which fits well with her lifestyle as an Air Force spouse. She has had the pleasure of living in Oklahoma, Japan, Nevada, and Florida (3 times). She currently calls Panama City, Florida home. Heather’s favorite things to do when she is not teaching are playing board games with the family, wakeboarding, reading, walking her German Shepherd, and spending time in nature enjoying the Lord’s handiwork.
