Ben Laird was born and raised in the scenic city of Denver, Colorado before relocating to Lynchburg, VA as a High School student. Following High School graduation, Benjamin studied at the Word of Life Bible Institute (Pottersville, NY) before moving back to Lynchburg and studying at Liberty University. It was at Liberty that Ben met his wife Margaret. In addition to his studies at Word of Life and Liberty, Ben is an alumnus of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC), the University of St. Andrews (Scotland), and the University of Aberdeen (Scotland). He also spent a year of study at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. In addition to academics, Ben loves to serve the local church and has had the privilege to serve as a pastor in Virginia as well as in Scotland. Outside of teaching, Ben enjoys the outdoors, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family. Margaret and Ben now have five children whom they educate from their home in Lynchburg. Ben’s greatest treasure in life is Christ and he seeks to encourage students to love the Lord with all of their heart, soul, and mind.
