Andrea O'Donnell

Andrea O'Donnell

Andrea O’Donnell has taught in a variety of school and homeschool settings since graduating from Grove City College in 2006. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Language Arts and Children’s Literature. Following graduation, Andrea taught 2nd and 3rd grades for four years at Pittsburgh Urban Christian School. Since having her children, she has taught private piano lessons, homeschooled her own four children, and assists with curriculum development and substitute teaching at her children’s “hybrid” classical Christian school. She also works in the children’s ministry department of her neighborhood church. Andrea especially enjoys teaching children grammar, writing, and literature. Her lifelong love of language and books is evident in her enthusiastic instruction, and she enjoys using a variety of multisensory strategies to make grammar and language fun and meaningful. Her heart’s desire for her students is that they will grow in wisdom to see all that they read and learn through a biblical lens while becoming effective communicators of God’s truth. Andrea and her husband Joe live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with their four children and a cute dog named Obi. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano, reading, and outdoor activities such as hiking and camping with her family.
