Latin Club brings together secondary students of all levels to focus on extra things that we wish we could cover in class, divided into three categories: Latin for Fun, Latin for Academic Pursuits, and Latin for Service. We will devote time to games, conversational Latin, and Latin humor. We will also prepare for the National Classical Etymology Exam, Phaedrus Contest, National Mythology Exam and National Latin Exam. Though competing is optional, all students will benefit from the preparation for these competitions. Our final area of focus will be ways to use our Latin knowledge in service to others, including the creation of artwork.
2nd and 4th Thursdays, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. EST
Exact schedule will be released in September. Club begins in October.
