This course is the natural next step for those who have used "Drawing with Children." Drawing is foundational for all forms of art and The "Drawing for Older Children & Teens" book by Mona Brookes provides the best way we know to teach children the critical elements of drawing and the elements of design (line, shape, form, color, texture, space and value) and thus maximize their potential. Students will discover the many different styles they can choose to draw in and how to develop their own personal styles. In the second half of the course, students will discover a unique way of seeing that allows them to draw any shape they observe. They will learn the basics - from buying art supplies to planning their compositions - and all the "good stuff" (proportion, scale, perspective, contrast, shading and special effects). This course is for the older grammar student looking to discover the joys of drawing!
Art II - Grammar is taught by an expert instructor in the Veritas Virtual Classroom and is limited to only 20 students per course.
Courses begin September 4th and end May 17th. To view the complete Academic Calendar click HERE.
