In order to get the word out about our new VPSA Local Communities, Founders, Marlin and Laurie Detweiler - along with their son Brandon - are hosting Family Game Night events in 13 cities nationwide over 16 days.
We thought it would be fun to post Marlin's "Notes from the Road" to let everyone hear what's happening and enjoy some of the photos and videos.
Here is his first Note from last night's Philadelphia event:Jan 14, 2014 – PhiladelphiaFirst of 13 cities, Philadelphia—right in our back yard so to speak. New Life Dresher Presbyterian Church (PCA), a very gracious group, allowed us to meet in their auditorium. Short notice produced a small but lively group. It was both intimate and fun for all. Children ranged from one-year-old to high school and outnumbered the adults. Not surprisingly, the children behaved exceptionally. In a puzzle game competition the Bushra’s (pictured) set a pretty remarkable benchmark, completing the challenge in 33:44. It could be a tough record to beat.I love our customers! The idea of developing communities for extra-curriculars is one that is “ripe for the picking” for our families. Identifying paid area directors for each locale will prove to be an exciting challenge that will ultimately produce an environment that provides a complete experience for students.Baltimore next, where a much larger number is expected. Can’t wait. Maybe we should extend our trip into the oft-requested reaches of California.
